刘政德，中国著名
雕塑家。一九三一年出身于湖北天门。1947年入武昌艺专学习，1950年毕业于中南文艺学院。1953年广州美术学院
雕塑系任教。1963年毕业于中央美术学院雕塑研究生班。1964年，广州美术学院雕塑系主任。湖北美术学院教授、研究生导师。全国城市雕塑艺术委员会委员，中国雕塑学会常务理事。
Liu Zhengde, a famous Chinese sculptor. Born in 1931 in Hubei tianmen. In 1947 the Wuchang art college, 1950 graduated from the Art College of South central. 1953 Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts. 1963 graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts sculpture graduate class. 1964, director of Sculpture Department of Guangzhou Acmdemy of Fine Arts. Hubei Institute of Fine Arts Professor, graduate tutor. Member of the National Urban Sculpture Art Committee, standing director of the China Sculpture Society.
本报讯（记者郑汝可 通信员仇海波）23日，“中国姿势·第三届中国雕塑大展”评选在安徽芜湖颁布，83岁的武汉雕塑家刘政德获得“中国雕塑毕生成绩奖”。

刘政德为湖北美院离休教授，曾参与毛主席纪念堂建设。1985年，其《黄鹤归来》铜雕获得全国工艺美术百花奖一等奖，其他代表性作品包含古琴台的《知音》雕塑、洪山广场的董必武雕塑、武汉东湖寓言雕塑群等。

昨日，记者接洽已返汉的刘政德，谈起奖项，刘老显得较为安静。他说，自己从13岁开端做雕塑，70年来大部分创作时间都在武汉。目前，他仍在保持创作，“每天都要工作七八小时，重要创作‘寓言’系列雕塑，弘扬中华传统文化”。据悉，《寓言》系列共有成型小样50余件，重要散布在东湖周边。
